The Flight Line has been moved to the 'concrete' runway and car parking will be at the north end of the 'tarmac' runway, behind the fencing
This will be for a trial period
The pros & cons will be accessed before a final decision is taken as to the orientation of the flight line and the positioning of the pilots' box.
Flying from this new location will afford us more airspace between the turbine and the flightline and at the same time, keep our circuit pattern further away from the buildings behind. Less strain on the nerves!
The 'dead airspace' as shown in the Club's Rule Book remains in operation and must be observed.
For safety, vehicles approaching the concrete runway should stop well short, toot the horn, and wait for someone to signal it's ok to proceed along the runway to the parking area.
Note: The Secretary has sent you an email containing some further useful information. Please don't hesitate to contact a committee member if you have any questions pertaining to the above.
